Progesterone is used in the treatment of hormone replacement therapy and female infertility. It is also used to restore menstruation in women with secondary amenorrhea (the absence of menstrual cycles).

Side Effects of V-Gest are Nausea, Sleepiness, Abdominal pain, Absence of menstrual periods, Itching, Change in body weight, Breast tenderness, Depression, Abnormal vaginal bleeding, Menstrual disorder, Edema (swelling), Changes in cervical ectropion, Changes in cervical secretion, Cholestatic jaundice, Nipple discharge, Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness), Red spots or bumps, Acne, Hair loss, Excessive hair growth on face, Anaphylactic reaction, Fever, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping).

How V-Gest Products work

Progesterone is a progesterone (female hormone). It works on the lining of the uterus and helps to establish and maintain pregnancy in infertile women. It helps in protecting the uterus from the negative effects of oestrogen when used for the treatment of postmenopausal symptoms.
